About Us

      Day Spring Farm is a family owned and operated farm that raises pasture-fed animals with sustainable practices. We started raising animals for meat to have a clean source of happy, healthy food for our family. Our animals are raised naturally, hormone-free, chemical-free, and in an eco-friendly manner.

      In 2006 we were blessed with enough to start sharing with our friends. From there our business has spread by word of mouth. We thank all our customers who either started as or have become friends for their patronage.

      Our farm store is open by appointment. We offer tours and hay rides, and we are happy to teach customers about how we care for our animals.

      We raise Scottish Highland Cattle, Romney Sheep, Laying Hens, Broiler Chickens, and Heritage Turkeys.

      Our meats are naturally raised and grass-fed: 100% free of growth hormones, stimulants and antibiotics. Our animals are raised on pasture, foraging naturally like animals were created to do. They are allowed to walk over acres of land, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.

      Animals raised on pastures improve your health and the health of your family, as well as the welfare of the animals. Sustainable agriculture ensures that our children and grandchildren will have good farmland left to raise food for their family and friends.

      Some of our farm fresh products include: Christmas Trees and Wreaths, Honey, and Apple Butter.

Day Spring Farm was featured on Emeril Lagasse's 'Emeril Green' show for the Thanksgiving special.

      The episode highlighted the uniqueness of the Baker's pasture based farm and their heritage turkeys. Jessie Baker and Chef Emeril roasted two of the turkeys together during the filming at Whole Foods in Fair Lakes. The film crew later came and spent the day filming the Bakers at their farm, doing their chores and enjoying their animals.
